About The Position

This role plays a vital part in supporting diverse land development initiatives by gathering field data and contributing to the creation of survey maps and CAD files. You will work on commercial, retail, and residential properties in a forward-thinking, technology-driven environment.

Requirements

Experience in surveying or a related field.
Familiarity with survey instruments and data collection tools.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Dependable transportation for site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Comfortable working primarily in the field across various project locations.

Responsibilities

Locate and recover survey control points and monumentation.
Perform boundary, topographic, and utility surveys.
Assist with construction layout and document project areas through photography.
Aid the survey team in collecting invert elevations and subsurface utility data.
Gain hands-on experience with advanced technologies such as drones and 3D scanning.
Support office operations including CAD drafting, data downloading, deed and map research, and document organization.
Ensure survey equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs when necessary.
Stay up to date with current surveying standards, practices, and innovations by participating in internal training and external educational opportunities.
Propose new methods and ideas to enhance workflow efficiency and improve service quality.
