Position Summary Lead the design, development, and construction of facilities projects aligned with the Strategic Capital Plan to support business objectives. Provide oversight, counsel, and advice to operating centers on proposed capital projects. Manage cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget. Ensure compliance with corporate technical guidelines, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Drive value through cost reduction, risk management, and adoption of appropriate new technologies. Support early-stage project development including needs assessment, programming, conceptual engineering, cost estimating, milestone scheduling, and value engineering. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • For Staff Project Manager: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. 5+ years of manufacturing/project engineering experience, preferably Pharmaceutical/Biological industry.
  • For Sr. Staff Project Manager: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. 7+ years of manufacturing/project engineering experience, preferably Pharmaceutical/Biological industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, plan and organize.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of projects at one time and bring them to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the department, all levels of other departments, regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Developed knowledge of PQSs, validation and CGMPs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage architectural, mechanical, and electrical design, as well as construction and equipment installation for assigned facilities projects.
  • Determine, manage, and control budgets and costs of all facilities construction projects assigned.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement long and short-range plans for improving and expanding manufacturing, research and development, administration, and office facilities.
  • Regularly solve technical problems; identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve profitability through reduced manufacturing and operating costs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate technical guidelines and quality standards, state and local codes, and FDA/USDA/EU/EPA/OSHA regulations on all assigned capital projects.
  • Assist Zoetis in conceptually developing projects, including need, programming issues, engineering solution, cost estimates, milestone schedules and value engineering.
  • Coordinate with Zoetis staff members on various facilities related project issues, including life safety, environmental, risk management, project auditing, community relations, taxation considerations, operations, and maintenance.
