Position Overview: Insulet, makers of the Omnipod insulin pump for diabetes, is one of the fastest growing medical device companies in the industry and we are expanding our Digital Customer Experience team! We are looking for a systems architect with experience with CMS-based web development, marketing automation systems, and integrations with CRM and Identity Management systems. Responsibilities: • As a Solution Lead, you will work closely with Product Managers and User Experience designers to define solutions that deliver exceptional value to our customers while meeting the needs of the business. Your role will be to propose, document and advise on solutions that make the best use of the systems within the full ecosystem, are technically feasible, and provide measurable results. • In this architectural role, you will be expected to be an expert in the Drupal core and contributed modules, and in best practices for both front-end and back-end development. You will develop expertise in our large, global, and multi-lingual site implementation and look for ways to continuously improve and optimize it. • You will be designing solutions that involve Salesforce as the source of truth for customer data, so knowledge of the Salesforce standard data model, multi-tenant architecture, and integrations is key. • The website uses SSO, so experience with Identity and Access Management is a plus. • We use Salesforce Marketing Cloud for email and SMS communication automation, so knowledge of that system is also a plus. • You’ll be expected to form a deep understanding of the application ecosystem and to develop close working relationships with the Enterprise Architects, Solution Leads, and Tech Leads of other systems to help define cross-system capabilities. • In our Scaled Agile process, your work will primarily be at the Feature level, helping define, refine, and size. You will be consulted by the development team and Product Owner in story mapping, defining acceptance criteria, and in developing test plans and automated regression tests. From time to time, you may develop or oversee proof of concept implementations. • You will be called on to troubleshoot issues, especially those that involve integrations. Education and Experience: • 5+ years of experience working as a Drupal developer, including at the principal/architect level, preferably in current position or in a recent position • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related discipline preferred • Acquia Certified Developer (or higher) a plus • Salesforce Certification(s) a plus Skills and Competencies: • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills • Familiarity with mobile-first front ends, accessibility standards, privacy and security standards, and compliance, ideally with respect to medical devices • Strong writing and diagramming skills (particularly data model and process flow diagrams) to provide organized and clear documentation of features • Excellent technical leadership skills including the ability to explain complex solutions clearly, to help the team break down the work into manageable chunks, to mentor less experienced developers, and to work well with more senior team members • Ability to work independently and manage your schedule and priorities while keeping management consulted and aware • Positivity, continuous learning mindset, attention to detail • Familiarity with Agile software development methodology, its benefits, and tools • Cultural awareness Physical Requirements: • General office environment, may sit for long periods of time • Domestic travel may be required less than 5% of the time • Infrequent weekend/off-hours work will occur for implementation go-live or support when needed NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office Additional Information: Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $148,200.00 - $222,300.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
