About The Position

We seek a dynamic and experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead our Outbound Engineering team, driving the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for complex integrations with robotics and machinery. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment and is passionate about creating scalable, high-performance systems that bridge the gap between software and hardware. As a critical contributor, you will shape the future of our fulfillment technology stack, mentor engineers, and ensure the delivery of innovative, reliable solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align technology development with strategic business goals, directly impacting operational efficiency and company growth. Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software development experience.
  • Proven experience with the development, scaling, and maintenance of distributed systems.
  • Proven experience with warehouse automation or fulfillment operations machinery integration.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, architectural design, and agile development methodologies.
  • Practical communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Ruby or Elixir
  • Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work independently on complex issues
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with AWS
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Research emerging technologies and trends in software engineering, identifying opportunities to enhance our projects and processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, anticipating potential issues to ensure smooth project execution.
