About The Position

As a Staff Software Engineer on Walmart’s US Omni Tech team, you will lead the design and delivery of cloud‑native, scalable platform capabilities that power Walmart’s Real Estate, Energy, IoT, Digital Twin, EV Charging, and renewable energy ecosystems. You’ll drive end‑to-end engineering—from architectural vision through implementation—while integrating AI/ML to improve efficiency, sustainability, and intelligent facility operations at massive scale. You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and partner with product, data, and business teams to translate complex challenges into high‑impact, enterprise‑wide solutions. What You’ll Do Deliver scalable platform capabilities across infrastructure, tooling, developer experience, and ML frameworks. Lead full SDLC: design, coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. Architect cloud‑native, resilient systems using microservices and containerization. Conduct design reviews and ensure architectural alignment. Build AI‑driven applications with integrated ML components. Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence through documentation and standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, success metrics, and outcomes. • Ability to integrate AI/ML components using Python, JavaScript, C++, Java.

• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, HPC, and fault-tolerant design.
• Strong database internals knowledge for SQL/NoSQL tuning and storage design.
• Expertise in security‑first engineering and threat modeling.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, queues) and async processing.
• Proficiency with Cloud infrastructure and cloud automation.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
