Meet Our Team: The Media Supply Chain Engineering team builds the applications and services that power Warner Bros Discovery’s content supply chain. Our applications cover the entire breadth of the media supply chain, from idea to distribution. We have a robust global community of thousands of internal Warner Bros Discovery users who rely on our apps every day to get television produced, on the air, and onto HBO Max. Position Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled individual who takes pride in bringing high-quality code quickly to market, enjoys learning and applying new technologies, provide mentoring to other engineer, and thrives in a dynamic engineering-oriented work environment. You will work with different encoding solutions and develop diverse solutions to interact and manage these systems, integrating them into our workflows using the latest technologies.

Requirements

BS in Computer Science or related field
7+ years of technical experience as software developer, or related role
Extensive experience in development on cloud-based infrastructure like AWS
Extensive experience developing in at least one of the programming languages: Python, Java or Go
Hands-on experience in implementing microservices, RESTful APIs, and event driven architectures
Extensive experience with mission critical, 24x7, Tier-1 services
Extensive experience with high throughput, multi-threaded systems
Extensive experience implementing and consuming large-scale web services
Mastery of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Product development experience in consumer-focused companies
Excellent Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis
Ability to work on a diverse team
Must have the legal right to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Experience with video streaming, codecs, video delivery and broadcast workflows
Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or equivalent
