About The Position

Staff Services Manager III - Administrative Services Division Chief / Administrative Unit / California Natural Resources Agency The reporting location for this position is Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general direction of the Deputy Assistant Secretary. Under the general direction of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration and Finance, the Staff Services Manager III (SSM III) serves as the Division Chief for Administrative Services and provides executive leadership for the full scope of the Agency's administrative operations. In this capacity, the SSM III is responsible for leadership over the department's strategic planning, directing, and evaluating for all functions within the Administrative Services Division, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality service delivery across the California Natural Resources Agency. The position oversees complex, agency-wide administrative programs essential to fulfilling the Agency's mission, including contracts and procurement, staff development and training, personnel management, business services, budgeting, and accounting. The SSM III will provide general direction over the whole Human Resources team that supports CNRA. Requirements

  • Understanding of Public Administration as it relates to California.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, fiscal, and administrative services management.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of multidisciplinary professional staff.
  • Ability to organize and set priorities for assignments and meet deadlines.
