About The Position

THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE. The Employment Development Department, Document Management Division is searching for a motivated, skilled, and energetic individual who enjoys innovation, problem solving, and is interested in working with an exciting team of professionals in a fast-paced environment. Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in planning, directing, and participating in the oversight of the Department's mail operations program. Assisting in developing and monitoring the Department's mail related budget. As a liaison, working directly with various Employment Development Department (EDD) departmental programs, other state agencies, outside vendors and contractors, and the United States Postal Service on mail related issues and postage matters. Assisting with and providing input for Division and Branch level assignments. Reviewing, analyzing, researching, and tracking more complex data. Participating in work groups to resolve problems or implement new procedures. In addition, the incumbent is expected to foster an environment that promotes the use of teamwork, work cooperatively to develop partnerships with a wide variety of individuals, and integrate Division and Departmental values. The incumbent is required to exercise an initiative in coordinating work priorities, performing assigned tasks, identifying and implementing process improvements to ensure that program operations are effective and efficiently performed. The incumbent's role requires contact with EDD customers, staff, information technology staff, management, and representatives from other governmental agencies. Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification.
