Join the largest Orthopedic Clinic in the Milwaukee area and become a vital member of a fast-paced, highly collaborative Trauma team dedicated to delivering exceptional orthopedic care. As a Trauma Clinic RN, you will partner closely with trauma surgeons and advanced practice providers to support patients through urgent injuries, post-operative recovery, and complex follow-up needs. In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical support through triage, timely MyChart communication, and in-clinic patient interactions. You will assist with procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, suture or staple removal, and splint or brace application. You will play a key role in patient education, helping individuals and families understand injury management, mobility precautions, and the recovery process. You’ll also work closely with your physician team to anticipate clinical needs, understand workflow nuances, and contribute to efficient, coordinated patient care. This position offers a consistent daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays, and provides ongoing opportunities to build expertise within a dynamic and high-acuity orthopedic specialty. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered care. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibility for their professional development. Major accountabilities of this role include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures. May float to other areas on as needed for operations need. Other duties as assigned.
