Overview: 0.6 FTE, 24 hours/week, primarily 7pm-7am with select day shift opportunities and training requirements, every third weekend, rotating holiday requirements. Job Description Summary: Follows the patients’ journey from diagnosis of a complicated anomaly through surgery and intervention, delivery, and recovery, treating the full spectrum of fetal complications. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License. Job Description: Essential Functions: Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach within fetal care and special delivery services, including providing inpatient antepartum and postpartum care and evaluation of maternal and fetal health status pre and post fetal procedure or delivery. Demonstrates sterile and aseptic techniques, as appropriate in the performance of and/or assisting with procedures and interventions. Performs procedures under the direction of Obstetric and Maternal Fetal Medicine Providers and in accordance with provider orders in accordance with the Ohio Board of Nursing Law and Rules. Administers appropriate obstetric medications in accordance with hospital policy and under the direction of the Obstetric and Maternal Fetal Medicine Providers and in accordance with a written order. Plans, implements, educates, and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices. Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
