About The Position

The Staff Research Associate I / II will conduct research on cell biology and its application to immune-associated diseases in the laboratory; perform experiments involving gene cloning, tissue processing, cell culture, microscopy, flow cytometry, retroviral transduction, and other biochemical procedures; breed, screen, immunize, and dissect transgenic mice; help purchase and maintain equipment; order supplies. This individual will contribute to research projects by generating datasets and testing hypotheses using methods established in the lab including cell culture, flow cytometry, gene targeting using CRISPR-Cas9 and gene expression analysis. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $28.04 - $45.09 (Hourly Rate). Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a related science and knowledge of, or experience with, the basic techniques or methods required by the position; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior experience working in a research laboratory
