About The Position

The Staff Research Associate I/2 will support research in the Dunn Lab focused on understanding how visual information is processed in the retina and how these processes are disrupted in disease. The incumbent will maintain mouse colonies, perform genotyping, and provide technical support for molecular biology, cell biology, and imaging-based experiments. Responsibilities also include laboratory organization and management, editing and keeping protocols up to date, maintaining detailed experimental records, and working closely with the Principal Investigator and other laboratory members. The position requires strong attention to detail, motivation to learn new techniques, and the ability to achieve independence in routine laboratory procedures. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $28.04 - $45.09 (Hourly Rate). Requirements
