Are you an exceptional, hungry leader seasoned in scaling businesses through transformation and growth? Join us and change the world. Job Summary: The Staff Product Operations role is the connective tissue between Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Leadership and beyond. You will be the person who sits in an Ops team standup in the morning, translates what you heard into a product brief by noon, and tells the story back to the whole organization in a way that makes everyone feel like they are part of the same mission. You find the gap, close it, and move on to the next one. This is not a program-management role and it is not a seat-warmer. It is a high-hustle, high-judgment role for someone who gets energy from being the glue that holds a complex organization together. You thrive in ambiguity, you translate fluently between technical and non-technical worlds, and you measure your own success by whether the teams around you are moving faster and feeling more connected than they were before you showed up. Exceptional Leadership: As an Andelan, you’ll serve as a role model for the rest of the company. Think about the feedback your peers typically give you – if it usually sounds like the below, we want to hear from you. Low ego, low drama, servant leader: You share credit, take blame. You like being wrong because it means someone else had an even better idea. One team mentality: You break silos across teams. You put the company and mission first above your team alone. Great listener, hungry for feedback: You’re always seeking to improve – our product, our business, yourself. You solicit diverse opinions and deeply listen. Owner, not renter: You see a problem, you fix it or find someone who will. The buck stops with you. Player-coach: You fly high (create strategy) AND low (know the details that matter). You roll up your sleeves and get scrappy. You do this proactively collaborating with your team while actively engaging in important details. Business problem solver: You’re not just a functional expert; you consistently get praise for approaching your function through the lens of solving business problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in product operations, product management, or a strategy/operations hybrid role.
  • 3+ years in a marketplace, platform, or multi-sided network business model
  • 2+ years managing or mentoring direct reports.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Operations, and commercial teams in a remote or distributed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct experience in a two-sided or multi-sided marketplace (talent, e-commerce, logistics, or similar). You understand liquidity, matching dynamics, and supply/demand tension intuitively.
  • A track record of manual processes by building features -- and knowing when it was not yet time to build. You have strong opinions on this, loosely held.
  • ‘Fly the plane’ during technical migrations or major company transitions. You know what is going on at all times and how to keep things on track. You know what "scope protection" means because you have lived it.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling. You can walk out of an engineering architecture review and explain what it means for the sales team, the ops team -- in language each of them actually cares about.
  • Able to navigate stakeholder complexity across Engineering, Operations, Sales, and executive leadership without positional authority. You lead by earning trust, not by pulling rank.
  • Strong data fluency: you can define metrics frameworks, build a dashboard spec, and hold your own in a conversation about data taxonomies. You are able to connect these pieces with tools and processes that fit the need.
  • A bias for action. You are not the person who writes the memo about the problem. You are the person who fixes it and then writes the memo so everyone else can learn from it.
  • Comfort operating in a fully remote, globally distributed, async-first environment across multiple time zones.
