WHY BOX NEEDS YOU Box is building market-leading metadata extraction powered by AI agents and LLMs. We’re launching Box Extract to help customers create, manage, and continuously improve extraction agents that unlock structured insights from documents. Metadata extraction is an early stage product experience rapid growth and we want to scale the business rapidly. This Product Manager will drive adoption, connect customer needs to product direction, and help Box set the standard for modern Intelligent Document Processing (IDP). As the Product Manager for Metadata Extraction (Redwood City–based), you’ll represent the voice of the customer, partner closely with sales to scale the business and post‑sales to drive adoption, and collaborate with our Poland-based engineering team to deliver trustworthy, high-accuracy extraction at scale.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of product management experience, including hands‑on work with AI Agents, LLMs and/or modern IDP approaches.
• Proven outbound PM experience: customer-facing, GTM enablement, and deal support with clear adoption outcomes.
• Strong technical fluency to partner with engineering on AI/LLM capabilities and constraints; comfort with agentic workflows.
• Track record of navigating senior stakeholders and prioritizing effectively in ambiguous, high‑impact spaces.
• Customer-obsessed communicator who can synthesize feedback into crisp product decisions and clear narratives.
• Based in the Bay Area with ability to work from Box’s Redwood City office. Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Nice To Haves

• Experience at modern AI/IDP startups or adjacent companies is a plus.
• Familiarity with document processing accuracy, evaluation, and trust considerations; experimentation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the outbound product strategy for Box Extract to drive customer adoption and enable GTM success across sales, SEs, and post‑sales.
• Partner with customers to understand use cases and pain points; translate insights into prioritized requirements for extraction agents and the Extract UI.
• Collaborate with engineering and design to shape roadmaps that improve accuracy, reliability, and usability of metadata extraction.
• Create enablement assets (positioning, value narratives, competitive insights) and support active deals as the product expert.
• Align senior stakeholders and field teams by triaging requests, setting focus, and communicating clear trade‑offs and impact.
• Connect IDP, agentic workflows, and automation to define end‑to‑end experiences that deliver measurable value.
• Contribute to launch activities and iterate quickly based on adoption data and customer feedback.
• Champion evaluation frameworks and best practices that build trust in AI-driven extraction.
