Staff Product Designer - Design Systems

Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in Product Design, with direct hands-on work in Design Systems
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong expertise in Figma (variables, libraries, tokens, and system architecture)
- Proven ability to design and document reusable components and UX patterns
- Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Solid understanding of systems thinking and product design execution
- Proven experience in managing product migration from an existing design system to a new version
Nice To Haves
- Experience collaborating with software engineers on UI frameworks and implementation
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and ability to bridge design and engineering
- Experience working on accessibility-focused projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional partners
- Enthusiasm for exploring new design tools and workflows, including AI-assisted design
Responsibilities
- Manage, evolve, and document the LinkedIn Design System
- Design, refine, and maintain high-quality UI components across multiple platforms
- Create, document, and evangelize UX patterns and best practices
- Partner with designers, engineers, researchers, and accessibility experts to ensure inclusive and accessible design
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate design system components and patterns into product development
- Contribute to prototyping and experimentation with emerging tools, including AI-assisted design workflows
- Uphold quality standards and promote consistency across all LinkedIn products
