About The Position

Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to lead/assist in process design for new and existing facilities. Analyze, calculate, and design new or revamped process equipment in refinery, chemical, and other industrial applications.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
Experience: Min Yr = 08+
Technical Skills: Knowledge of P&ID development, heat and material balances, hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations, relief device sizing, API standards, and ASME codes required.
Management: Experience mentoring and leading small teams required
Other Skills: Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Possess physical mobility (on the ground and at heights)
Be able to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
Be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders using the appropriate and required fall protection.
Be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing the appropriate PPE.
Be able to position yourself to work in confined spaces
Adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site.
Meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site.

Nice To Haves

Licensure: P.E. Preferred
Technical Skills: Knowledge of process simulation software (eg Aspen Plus, HYSYS) preferred

Responsibilities

Lead field and technical evaluations of existing process units
Direct and perform calculations, develop PFDs and P&IDs, provide design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, develop equipment specifications, compile scope of work packages for construction
Lead Client and Contractor interface, attend meetings, and provide written reports
Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects
Assist in constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development
