I hope you are okay with me telling you a little about our backstory. After graduating PT school... I worked in a few different settings throughout my career, hospital outpatient, acute Care, High Volume Outpatient. In each of them I found that I was seeing too many patients per day, wasn't able to provide the care that I wanted to give each patient, and wasn't making the impact that I dreamed of when becoming a physical therapist. I remember coming home late, and being so frustrated. Almost to the point where I was wondering if PT was really the career for me. Don't get me wrong I learned a ton during those work experiences, but I wanted to be different and make a difference in people's lives. So, I started my own little "Side Hustle", while working all my other jobs. About 12 years ago, I decided to open my own practice with the goal of providing one-on-one care to my patients and really getting to know them and their goals. I wanted to help my patients get back to the activities they love without pain. Since opening our doors, we have been fortunate enough to grow quickly and have amazing team members. We are now looking for another new full-time physical therapist to join our team. Over the past couple years we have been able to help 1000s of local residents. The key "metrics" we pride ourselves on is not patient volume, number of new patients, or gross revenue.... but our customer satisfaction and staff retention rates. Most of our staff has been with us for 3+ years after hire. And for that we are blessed to have such a great team here at Universus PT & Wellness. We are looking for a passionate, outgoing, and experienced physical therapist to work with us part time or full time. The ideal candidate must be able to provide one-on-one care to patients and have experience in outpatient orthopedics with an interest in manual therapy, women's health and/or holistic healing. Universus Physical Therapy is a privately-owned practice dedicated to the health and wellness of our patients, in a one-on-one environment, with the use of specialized manual therapy, exercise techniques and nutritional consultation tailored to the individual’s needs. We specialize in helping people with chronic pain, orthopedic injuries and women’s health issues. Our culture is client-centered and family-friendly. We will offer Yoga, Small Group Training, Pilates reformer and workshops dedicated to learning meditation, self-healing and injury-prevention as well as Acupuncture, Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy. We are looking to grow Universus Physical Therapy into the Premier Holistic PT and Wellness clinic on Long Island specializing in orthopedic manual therapy and women's health! The founder of the company is a Physical Therapist herself, and built this company from scratch starting from just a single treatment room. We are looking to change the way Physical Therapy is delivered! At Universus Physical Therapy, each client is booked for 45 minutes and is given an amazing experience, they are treated like family! The candidate is expected to keep in contact with their client as needed, demonstrate a strong desire to grow personally as well as professionally (30 hours/year of continuing education), and to be available for community outreach/education which would take the form of workshops and social media outreach. We are VERY passionate about education both for ourselves as professionals as well as educating the community on what a “healthy” lifestyle looks like. We are looking to take people to the next level in their journey to health, with modalities such as clinical Pilates, yoga, Acupuncture and medical exercise therapy! Our Mission: To help people aged 40+ become more active, healthy and mobile without pain pills, surgery or procedures- so that they can do the activities they love again instead of sitting in the doctor’s office! Requirements

must be able to provide one-on-one care to patients
