WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS: MSDS are available for hazardous chemicals PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Standing, lifting, pulling and pushing, manipulating a needle and syringe to prepare IV products using aseptic technique REPORTS TO:Director of Pharmacy CONTACTS: Nurses, Technicians, Aides, Physicians and other Health Care Professionals SUPERVISES:Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Clerk MAIN FUNCTIONS: Dispensing and compounding of medications using pharmaceutical care skills, maintains records requested by regulations and departmental policy, furnishes drug information whenever appropriate or as requested, and consults prescribers whenever needed.
