Staff Pharmacist - Night Shift
About The Position
As a full-time, nonexempt Staff Pharmacist working nights, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a direct impact by ensuring the accuracy of medication orders, verifying technician-prepared products, and safeguarding controlled substances. You’ll contribute to a high-performing team by maintaining seamless daily operations, supporting the Director in optimizing pharmacy performance, and mentoring staff. About the Facility: Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art 456 bed facility featuring the newest technology in the field of patient care. It is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department, Level I Trauma Center, four Family Health Centers, and the only Burn Center serving the San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo, and Mono counties About the Pharmacy: Arrowhead provides both Outpatient and Inpatient Pharmacy Services. The Inpatient Pharmacy is open 24/7, 365 days/year, while the Outpatient Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-9:00pm and weekends and holidays from 8:00am-7:30pm. The pharmacies utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and FSI Schedule: This full-time, nonexempt position will work 32-40 hours/week in a variety of night and evening shifts during the week, weekends, and holidays in this 24/7 pharmacy
Requirements
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Demonstrated effective communications skills; verbal and written
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program
- Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
Responsibilities
- Processing orders with accuracy and monitoring for drug interactions
- Ensure pharmacy operations are well maintained
- Respond to Code Blue events
- Cognizant of inventory and controlled substance inventory
- Controlled substance audit and med room audit
