Requirements

Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Current unencumbered license as a Registered Pharmacist in the pharmacy's state of practice.
Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
Required: Up to two weekends per month and up to 3 holidays per year.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in long-term care or hospital pharmacy preferred.
IV experience preferred. If no experience in IV preparation/dispensing, must be able to learn and demonstrate competency.

Responsibilities

Utilize clinical knowledge to analyze medication profiles and new medication orders for appropriateness of therapy, dose, and potential interactions before dispensing to residents of long-term care facilities.
Supervise dispensing of medication orders in compliance with State and Federal regulations, as well as best practice standards.
Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols. Comply with HIPAA and all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care.
Participate in educational and professional programs and/or review professional literature on an ongoing basis to maintain knowledge and competency in current and developing techniques, professional standards, and the services offered by Forum.
Assist pharmacy managers and lead pharmacy technicians in managing daily workflow of the pharmacy and supervising technician activity.
Work in a fast-paced 24/7/365 institutional pharmacy environment.
