About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist Manager oversees pharmacy fulfillment operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. This role is responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians, optimizing workflow efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to deliver safe, accurate, and timely medication fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree required.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a pharmacy leadership or management role.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and pharmacy operations.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and manage change effectively.
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

  • Experience in high-volume fulfillment or specialty pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development Manage and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to achieve performance goals. Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Operational Excellence Oversee daily fulfillment operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance. Implement and sustain Fulfillment Operating System pillars: People Development Leader Standard Work Throughput Optimization Visual Management/Tier Accountability Focused Improvement
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations, licensing requirements, and Evernorth standards. Maintain inventory accuracy and audit readiness (target: 99.9% accuracy).
  • Process Improvement Identify and execute initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance customer experience. Leverage automation and technology to optimize throughput and reliability.
  • Collaboration & Communication Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Talent Acquisition) to align on goals and priorities. Communicate performance metrics and progress through tier boards and daily huddles.
