About The Position

This position is responsible for the provision of high quality pharmaceutical care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include the dispensing of medications for hospital patients, providing relevant, up-to-date clinical information to clinical staff, physicians, and patients, continuous assessment and evaluation of drug therapies, and following hospital-approved protocols for dosing selected medications. In addition, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possesses appropriate knowledge of basic pharmacologic principles and their application in the provision of quality patient care
  • Good communication skills and experience with computerized pharmacy systems necessary
  • Current Pharmacist Licensure from the California State Board of Pharmacy
  • Hospital Mandatory Education Requirements: Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse/Neglect, and Ethics
  • Tuberculosis Screening, Licensure renewal
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
