Staff Officer V SME Responsibilities: Provide high-level subject matter expertise for work described in the program/task. Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and/or implementation advice on complex problems which require a high-level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Participating as needed in all phases of program development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, integration, documentation, training, and presentation phases. Provide technical advice, guidance, and direction for the improvement, modification, and re-engineering of business processes, and policies and procedures for any functional area under consideration or review. Apply principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific task orders/programs supporting information technology, logistics support, program management and/or professional/management development training. Provides multi-discipline program and operational analytical expertise and assistance for a SES-led, senior level staff directorate supporting oversight, strategic planning and coordination, and policy requirements for high level, sensitive national security requirements involving DoD and USG activities. Support shall include: the development of staff packages and integration of technical mission efforts within DoD and across the IC and Defense Community; analysis of intelligence related activities against the National Defense Strategy and the priorities of the Secretary of Defense and Undersecretary of War for Intelligence and Security; development of data analytic tools and specialized dashboards as appropriate. Provide technical expertise, advice, and support for the design, coordination, management, implementation, operation, and oversight of a common operational reporting system. Provide technical expertise, advice, and support required to ensure that UAP incident reporting is appropriately cataloged, stored, curated, and maintained, to include sensor data from multiple platforms and data at multiple classification levels. Develop and establish positive working relationships with the OUSW(I&S) Special Access Program Central Office, the Special Security Office, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the Combat Support Agencies. Support the daily production, coordination, and dissemination of reports and briefings that detail Customer operations, activities and investments for Congress and Senior Executive Branch officials. Support the production, coordination, and dissemination required to respond to congressionally directed actions and reporting requirements. Assist Customer leadership with drafting, editing, and coordinating DoD and IC-wide inputs for required reports, briefings, information papers, issue papers, and other products as required.
