About The Position

We are currently seeking a casual Staff Nurse to join our Echo Cardiography department to work day shifts, as needed. If currently in a benefit earning position, applying for this casual position will result in decreasing current hours to casual with no benefits. Casual nurses have no regular appointed scheduled hours (no assigned FTE) and may not hold a casual position concurrently with a regularly scheduled position within the same facility. Casual nurses are required to make themselves available to work a minimum of two (2) open 8-hour minimum length shifts or the equivalent number of hours per four (4)-week scheduling period at straight time, with at least one shift being a weekend shift. Additionally, casual nurses must be available to work two (2) of the following holiday shifts per calendar year: New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Holiday shifts must be full eight or twelve hour shifts, and a minimum of one of these holidays must be a winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's).

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
  • One year of RN experience in Adult ICU
  • ACLS

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in area of clinical specialty
  • Cardiology background with telemetry experience
  • Previous RN stress testing/procedural experience
  • BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.
