About The Position

MRIGlobal has a full-time opportunity for a Staff Mechanical Engineer in Kansas City, MO. In this unique opportunity, the selected candidate will work with other engineering and technical disciplines in the design, prototyping, and testing of custom systems to meet customer requirements. Furthermore, the selected candidate will: Design a broad range of mechanical systems to support commercial and government projects. Develop and conduct experiments to analyze existing designs and products. Perform mechanical engineering design work on multidisciplinary teams with mechanical, electrical, chemical and systems engineers.Act as engineering lead for smaller projects or task lead for larger projects.Communicate with clients, project managers, and non-engineering technical staff to define project requirements and deliverables. Provide preliminary design concepts and technical input to commercial and government project proposals.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 6 years’ relevant experience; advanced degrees/certifications can be used in lieu of experience.
  • Proficient with CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS).
  • Experience with research and development, and engineering design processes.
  • Strong technical leadership.
  • Mastery in Protocol Troubleshooting, Designing, and Optimization.
  • U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite
