About The Position

The Staff Hardware Engineer will lead Hyve’s cross‑functional engineering teams in developing, deploying, and optimizing hyperscale hardware solutions for top‑tier customers. This role partners closely with hyperscaler customers to support large‑scale deployments, drive technical resolution of complex system issues, and translate field learnings into next‑generation product innovations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or related field).
  • Experience: 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2-3 years in a technical leadership or operations-focused role.
  • Systems Thinking: Proven ability to design complex systems and processes that impact 50+ engineers.
  • Data Proficiency: Skilled in using analytical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, SQL) to drive operational decisions.
  • Communication: Expert at influencing without authority and communicating technical visions to both executives and ICs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Cross-Functional Engineering Efforts
  • Drive coordination across hardware engineering, firmware, system design, manufacturing, and validation teams to deliver high‑quality hyperscale solutions.
  • Serve as the technical interface between Hyve and hyperscaler customers for architecture, deployment, and operational readiness.
  • Debug Issues at Scale & Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Support large-scale customer deployments by identifying, triaging, and resolving hardware, firmware, and system‑level issues.
  • Establish structured feedback loops to feed deployment learnings back into system design, hardware engineering, and firmware architecture roadmaps.
  • Deliver KPIs, Improvement Plans, and Customer Success Outcomes
  • Own delivery of customer-facing KPIs, corrective action plans, and performance improvements.
  • Drive technical excellence that results in successful validation cycles, design wins, and long-term customer trust.
  • Architect and Propose Next-Generation Solutions
  • Define, architect, and present next-generation compute, storage, networking, and AI hardware solutions tailored for hyperscale workloads.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate with customers to influence product strategy and secure future design wins.
  • Develop Scalable, Innovative Hardware Architectures
  • Lead the development of system architectures optimized for hyperscale efficiency, performance, thermal, and power targets.
  • Guide engineering teams in building hardware platforms that meet customer requirements and future industry demands.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship
  • Provide technical direction, mentorship, and best‑practice guidance across engineering teams.
  • Champion engineering rigor and scalable processes across the organization.
