In this unique opportunity, the selected candidate will work with other engineering and technical disciplines in the design, prototyping, and testing of custom systems to meet customer requirements. Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 6 years’ relevant experience; advanced degrees/certifications can be used in lieu of experience.
  • Proficient with CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS).
  • Experience with research and development, and engineering design processes.
  • Strong technical leadership.
  • Mastery in Protocol Troubleshooting, Designing, and Optimization.
  • U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite
  • Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to meet the government security investigation requirements, U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

  • Design a broad range of mechanical systems to support commercial and government projects.
  • Develop and conduct experiments to analyze existing designs and products.
  • Perform mechanical engineering design work on multidisciplinary teams with mechanical, electrical, chemical and systems engineers.
  • Act as engineering lead for smaller projects or task lead for larger projects.
  • Communicate with clients, project managers, and non-engineering technical staff to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Provide preliminary design concepts and technical input to commercial and government project proposals.
