In this unique opportunity, the selected candidate will work with other engineering and technical disciplines in the design, prototyping, and testing of custom systems to meet customer requirements. Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 6 years’ relevant experience; advanced degrees/certifications can be used in lieu of experience.
- Proficient with CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS).
- Experience with research and development, and engineering design processes.
- Strong technical leadership.
- Mastery in Protocol Troubleshooting, Designing, and Optimization.
- U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite

- Available for periodic travel, estimated at 4-12 weeks per year.
- Desire to work with other team members to solve complex multidisciplinary challenges.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design a broad range of mechanical systems to support commercial and government projects.
- Develop and conduct experiments to analyze existing designs and products.
- Perform mechanical engineering design work on multidisciplinary teams with mechanical, electrical, chemical and systems engineers.
- Act as engineering lead for smaller projects or task lead for larger projects.
- Communicate with clients, project managers, and non-engineering technical staff to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Provide preliminary design concepts and technical input to commercial and government project proposals.
