About The Position

Lexsy is an AI-native law firm building predictive legal intelligence. We create agentic systems that continuously monitor a company’s data, identify legal events, propose actions, and execute them — with lawyers in the loop. Our platform already supports high-growth startups (including companies now valued at $500M+), and we’re scaling toward a multi-agent architecture spanning workflows, validation, supervision, and real-time triggers across Slack, HR systems, cap tables, data rooms, and financial tools. This is a foundational technical leadership role. As Lexsy’s Staff Engineer, you will own core architectural decisions, lead complex execution, and set the technical standard for how we build AI-powered legal systems. You won’t be handed tickets. You’ll be trusted to define solutions.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 1+ year hands-on building with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face ecosystem)
• Strong systems design and architectural thinking
• Experience deploying and scaling systems on AWS or similar cloud platforms
• High code quality standards; ability to design APIs and interfaces others can build on
• Experience mentoring or managing junior engineers
• Comfort operating in fast-moving startup environments

Nice To Haves

• Experience with legal or compliance-driven workflows
• Integrations with HR systems, billing, cap tables, or data rooms
• Availability in US or Canada time zones
