About The Position

Qualcomm with its strong Auto Roadmap of SoCs and Software for an immersive and intelligent digital experience is redefining vehicles for the 21st Century. This is an exciting time to be a part of Qualcomm's Auto team as we engage with the auto ecosystem for a major digital transformation across connectivity, infotainment, and autonomous driving. We are looking for Technical Account Manager (TAM) from the auto industry with proven track record of product level ownership & commercialization into major auto OEMs to drive the Telematics projects. Ideal candidate for this position would have worked in the auto hardware/software ecosystem - OEM or Tier1, Tier 2, led and managed hardware/software delivery of a major project into an OEM. The Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Qualcomm oversees the customers (OEM/ODM) product portfolio and manages the technical aspects of the components (hardware and software) that are designed into the customers projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years wireless industry experience.
  • 4+ years of managing mobile technology related large scale customer projects and relationships
  • Ability to proactively manage customer expectations to influence customer relations and design decisions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information to a range of audiences
  • Program Manager, managing complex technical projects in a SW environment
  • Experience leading and directing engineers that are in independent functional organizations.

Responsibilities

  • As primary owner of customer projects, manage overall project from conceptualization to mass production as part of program manager role
  • For projects under development: drive customer issues to resolution, mitigate escalations and set expectations with the customer by collaborating with QCOM internal teams and customer teams on a daily basis
  • For projects under evaluation: engage with the customer by organizing trainings, reviewing the design concept, gathering project requirements, and analyzing the gaps & risk involved in product commercialization
  • Align customer milestones with hardware and software deliverables timeline by collaborating with Engineering, product and program management team
  • Review the customer portfolio on a regular basis, prioritize customer projects and ensure attention for successful execution of customer projects
  • Have strong communication skills, ability to interact with a wide cross section of the organization across Product Marketing, Sales, Finance, Hardware & Software engineering teams
  • Customer relationship development and managing
