The Staff Engineer, Automation and Robotics is a recognized technical expert and strategic leader responsible for defining, deploying, and sustaining advanced automation and robotic solutions across manufacturing operations.

  • Compliance Management: Proficient in ensuring automation systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Innovative Thinking: Proven capability to develop and execute creative and effective solutions for highly complex engineering problems.
  • 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical field and 8 plus years in manufacturing engineering with automation and robotics.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce. The ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident (i.e., 'Green Card holder'), or a protected person (e.g., asylee, or refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Design Systems: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex robotic and automated manufacturing systems across machining, assembly, and material handling operations.
  • Lead Technical Projects: Lead high complex automation initiatives, from concept through sustained production.
  • Optimize Processes: Establish and maintain automation standards, architecture, and best practices across manufacturing operations.
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Evaluate, select emerging technologies, integrators, and OEM partners. Advise leadership and team members on best practices and cutting-edge technologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Diagnose and resolve intricate control system problems using sophisticated analytical methods, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines. Provide deep technical expertise in automation/robotics, system integration, commissioning and troubleshooting.
