About The Position

T&M Associates is seeking a multi-talented Staff Engineer 2 to join our Water Market! This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to advance their career while learning and growing within the framework of a collaborative consulting firm. This role will provide exposure to a variety of water and wastewater projects including treatment facilities, pumping stations, linear infrastructure, condition assessments, and field inspections. The primary focus will be on project design assistance for wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) upgrades and improvements, sewer system extensions (including design, permitting, and construction management), and waterline extensions for municipal clients such as Pocono Township, Mountaintop Joint Area Sanitary Authority, and Bangor Borough Sewer Authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in water/wastewater engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
  • Strong command of design principles with ability to develop neat and accurate design calculations.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with ability to work effectively with peers, senior staff, and clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, with the goal of obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of water and wastewater treatment facility projects.
  • Provide project design assistance for WWTP upgrades, sewer system extensions, and waterline extensions.
  • Prepare plans, design calculations, technical reports, and construction documents.
  • Assist with permitting, construction management, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct field inspections, condition assessments, and site visits as required.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior staff across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ensure all work is performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with client and regulatory standards.
