About The Position
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a high-caliber Staff Electrical Engineer to join our elite engineering team in Alexandria, VA. This role is pivotal in driving the technical vision for upcoming mission-critical programs. You will serve as the technical lead for hardware development within the various phases, translating complex government requirements into innovative, cost-effective, and manufacturable electrical systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (Systems, Software, and Mechanical) to architect next-generation solutions for C5ISR, electronic warfare, and autonomous systems. This position supports an on-going proposal. When the proposal is awarded, HII will seek to hire for this position immediately.
Requirements
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years working as an Electrical Engineer in a commerical environment (May be inclusive with experience working as an Electrical Engineer)
- Experience working with other development contractors and trades to include non-traditional applications
- Experience implementing Building Automation and System Controls
- Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Experience utilizing 3-dimensional drafting such tools such as CAD, Solidworks, and Revit
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance w/Poly
Nice To Haves
- Possess a Professional Engineering license (PE)
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Proficiency with electrical industry best practices, regulations, and safety standards
- Previous experience working on large teams
