Staff Assistant, The Hartford, Marketing, Customer & Brand The Hartford is seeking a proactive and highly skilled Staff Assistant to provide executive-level administrative support to the Chief Marketing & Customer Officer (CMCO) within the Marketing, Customer & Brand (MCB) organization. This role will manage a wide range of high-level administrative functions that enable the CMCO and leadership team to operate efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. This role is the “go-to” administrative person on the team, anticipating needs and acting without explicit direction as much as possible, and the individual others seek out for information and assistance. Key Responsibilities: Deliver advanced, confidential administrative support with a focus on executive priorities and organizational objectives. Coordinate complex scheduling, communications, and information flow across multiple stakeholders. Serve as a trusted liaison between the CMCO and internal/external partners, fostering collaboration and alignment. Support strategic initiatives by managing logistics, preparing materials, and ensuring timely execution. Own & lead special projects that drive marketing and customer experience goals. This position reports directly to the CMCO and is based in our Hartford, CT Home Office, with an expectation of being onsite four days per week. The role will also provide administrative support to 1-2 additional MCB SLT members.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic initiatives by managing logistics, preparing materials, and ensuring timely execution.
  • Own & lead special projects that drive marketing and customer experience goals.
  • Partner closely with the CMCO to understand the demands on her time and anticipate and recommend approaches to streamline and reduce friction, ensuring the CMCO can deliver optimally
  • organize a complex calendar and schedule
  • manage meeting set-up including invitations, room reservations, technology, meeting materials, and other related items
  • effectively manage prioritization and use decision-making skills to navigate ambiguity and resolve potential schedule conflicts.
