We are seeking an exceptional Staff Accountant to support our rapidly expanding dealerships. In this role, you will ensure balance sheet and income statement accuracy in accordance with GAAP while supporting process improvements that enhance compliance and protect financial data. You will work closely with the Controller to ensure timely and accurate reporting and support ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required
• Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficiency in Excel required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous automotive industry experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries; complete month-end close processes and assist with preparing monthly financial statements within the first week of each month.
• Post daily bank transactions and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage and uphold accounting processes and controls to ensure financial information accurately reflects the financial position of all dealership entities.
• Assist Controllers with year-end audit preparation and support the year-end review performed by external auditors.
• Review financial statements and ledgers; work with accounting staff to resolve discrepancies and recommend operational and process improvements.
• Provide supplemental support to accounting staff as needed to ensure the timely completion of tasks and identify opportunities for efficiency and workflow enhancements.
