About The Position

Our client, a small but growing manufacturing company in Aberdeen, MD, is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with leadership, and growing with a stable organization 📈.

As the Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end close activities. You’ll partner closely with the Controller and contribute directly to leadership reporting and operational decision-making.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
• Solid understanding of general ledger and cost accounting
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Strong Excel skills
• Payroll and AP/AR experience
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working onsite

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Support cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Process bi-weekly payroll for ~25 employees
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Prepare financial reports for leadership
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
