Position Summary: The Staff Accountant serves as a team leader in the finance department, ensuring the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization. Essential Functions: Reviews records of accounts to ensure accuracy Preparing and filing sales tax and PPT returns Administrative duties such as filing, transcription, maintaining schedules, and telephone support Reviewing and maintaining general ledger accounts Analyzing and reconciling bank statements Perform other duties as assigned Concur expense report management and processing Maintaining customer exemption certificates Process Journal entries and account reconciliations at month-end Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervisory role. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a degree in Business with equivalent accounting experience Minimum 3+ years’ experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Business Central, is desired Experience with sales tax software, such as Avalara, Concur, and OneSource, is desired Proficiency in MS Office Suite with Advanced Excel Skills necessary and Jet reporting skills desired Required Skills: Excellent Problem-Solving, Analytical, Time Management, and Leadership Skills Proficiency in technical applications, including MS Office Suite Demonstrated Conduct that is in Alignment with Our Core Values Self-Driven Customer/Client Focus. Personal Effectiveness/Credibility. Thorough and detail-oriented. This position is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and scanners.
