About The Position

The primary goal of Financial Services is to support the core mission of the University through exemplary fiscal stewardship. Our services and programs are geared toward providing our customers outstanding response and service while fulfilling compliance and fiduciary obligations. Among many duties, Financial Services has responsibility for accounting and financial reporting; cash, endowment, and debt management; payroll; sponsored award accounting; and purchasing and paying for goods and services. Provides general accounting support to units across campus and supports central accounting functions. Under direct supervision, performs a variety of reconciliation and routine operating account activities which require basic knowledge of accounting theories and principles.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
  • Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Performs bank reconciliations of University bank accounts within Oracle ERP.
  • Manages new chart of accounts (COA) value requests within the Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM) system.
  • Answers accounting questions from campus units using the University's ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Performs balance sheet account reconciliations in the Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) module.
  • Manages offsite storage requests for Financial Services.
  • Performs a variety of routine operating or cost accounting activities which require basic knowledge of accounting theories and principles.
  • Examines accounting records for the purpose of determining gains and losses, receipts and disbursements, and inventory.
  • Performs other related work as needed.
