About The Position

Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential. A growing digital marketing company is looking for a Staff Accountant to support its day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tracking details, cross-checking information, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team in an engaging office environment where questions are welcomed and learning is encouraged. Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or client-based service environment (preferred, not required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA not required)
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Experience working with large data sets and reconciling information across multiple sources
• Ability to manage multiple requests at once and shift priorities quickly
• Strong analytical skills and a natural instinct to double-check details
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with clear communication skills

Nice To Haves

• QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist with accruals and reconciliations
• Support the month-end close and help track key accounting details
• Cross-check data across systems related to payments, invoicing, and client activity
• Respond to questions from internal teams and help resolve discrepancies
• Assist with variance analysis, audits, and ad hoc reporting
• Help maintain clean, reliable financial data across the business units you support
