About The Position

Record and allocate daily bank transactions, including checking accounts and credit card activity. Prepare and reconcile monthly and quarterly bank and credit card statements. Maintain and reconcile Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). Allocate income, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and expenses to multiple projects. Reconcile general ledger and all supporting books; ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings. Monitor bookkeeping accuracy, reviewing entries prepared by junior accountants or bookkeepers (payroll, billing, refunds, etc.). Prepare estimates, invoices, and salary accruals based on time-tracking systems. Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS). File standard business forms as needed (e.g., lien waivers, federal/state forms). Assist in the year-end 1099-NEC/MISC reporting and annual IRS forms (1120, 1065). Assist with year-end closing procedures and tax preparation. Identify and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in financial data. Perform other accounting functions as assigned, including ERP, CRM, payroll, and tax-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an accountant or bookkeeper, including at least 1 year with a U.S.-based company.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or QuickBooks Desktop) — at least 1 year of proven experience (mandatory).
  • English level B1–B2 or higher (ability to understand written requests, interpret documents, and locate relevant information).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with U.S. tax preparation, payroll, or construction-related accounting is a plus.
