As Staff Accountant , you will have an opportunity to rapidly develop your accounting and analysis skills in a fast-paced and technology-driven environment that is made of up a diverse set of trading businesses and other private investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong organization skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and effectively manage changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Previous experience working in public accounting or in trading firms, hedge funds, or other similar asset management firms preferred
  • Strong experience creating reports in Excel
  • Previous experience working with Oracle or other accounting software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily General Ledger functions such as cash and trading account reconciliation, and income and expense accruals to support month-end close
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Respond to requests from external auditors
  • Maintain high level of data integrity of financial information amongst complex accounting and back office systems
  • Analyze detailed trade information and reconcile data between internal trade systems and external statements
  • Lead ad-hoc projects and create ad-hoc reports as needed
