As a member of the Accounting team, this person will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration or emphasis on Accounting/Finance; or four years related experience and/or training demonstrating competency in related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel, computerized accounting systems (JDE/Oracle is helpful) and electronic point of sale systems.
  • The ability to Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • To deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To read and analyze financial reports and respond to common inquiries from internal managers/directors
  • To effectively present information to top management and regulatory agencies.
  • To define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • To interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

  • Posts bi-weekly payroll entry to the GL.
  • Posts and reconciles credit card/cash postings on a daily basis.
  • Prepares both standard and non-standard monthly entries and runs Financial Statements.
  • Prepares worksheets and reconciliation for Sales and Use Tax.
  • Reconciles the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to balance the associated fixed asset GL accounts.
  • Prepares Bank Reconciliations.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly. Reviews with Controller.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
