About The Position

Provides principal support in the financial activities of the Company. Works with all team members to gather and prepare financial advice and support to members of management that enables them to make sound business decisions.

Requirements

  • Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Intermediate Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • High Math Skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Very High Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills - (Excel, SAP, and Cognos)
  • BS/BA Degree in related field
  • 3 years of related experience preferred
  • Or, combination of education and work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the month-end closing for the organization, including account reconciliations, preparation and input of journal entries, bank statement reconciliation, and maintaining accounting estimates
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and physical inventories.
  • Review general ledger coding and allocation of invoices.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management to assist in financial planning.
  • Facilitate intercompany invoicing and reconciliations.
  • Participates in recommendations to management on corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.
  • Prepares reports for review, which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Assist with budget preparation and budget presentations by gathering necessary financial data and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with both external and internal audits by providing requested information and documentation.
  • Other general accounting projects as needed.
  • Reliable attendance is a must.
  • Other duties as assigned.
