About The Position

ECI is seeking a Staff Accountant who will play an integral role within the controllership function. The position will be a leader in the close process for multiple locations and will be involved with preparation of financial statements. This position will report to the VP/General Manager, MRG. In this role, you will: Lead the month-end closing process including journal entry preparation for multiple locations Prepare all the month end reconciliation and account analysis Track Capital spending Perform ad hoc analysis Be the primary responsible for the entire AP process (from invoice posting to creation of the payment run) Assist in coordination of deliverables to external auditors Work with cross function leaders and provide applicable support when requested Maintain records in accordance with company policy Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred; in lieu of degree, 5-10+ years of relevant experience required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Established analytical skills with ability to communicate findings to team
  • Experience with integrated ERP Systems
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for decision-making
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities
