Staff Accountant

Permian is seeking a skilled and dependable Staff Accountant to join our growing manufacturing team. This role plays a key part in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial accuracy. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience (not bookkeeping only)
- Strong understanding of: Journal entries, Accrual accounting, Reconciliations, General Ledger
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred)
- Experience working in ERP systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the month-end close
- Review and analyze general ledger activity
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Prepare internal financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting support
- Help ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
- Support audits and special accounting projects
