Job Description Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of general accounting support tasks. Reconciles accounts and prepares reports for internal company employees and management, external vendors, and customers. Emphasis on daily accounting for cash, fixed assets, reporting to suppliers. Assists with implementing practices, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and timely financial information and management reports, and strong internal controls to safeguard assets of the Tidal Wave.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage projects to completion
  • Able to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment
  • Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact
  • Detail oriented; regularly verifies all work thoroughly and efficiently to ensure accuracy
  • Dedicated to the success of the team and driven to learn and stay current professionally
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
  • Can pass a drug test and criminal background check.
  • Are legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, compile, and record financial activity from multiple locations
  • Record journal entries and prepare supplemental information to support the entries
  • Calculate and prepare accruals, prepaid expenses, and supplementary schedules to ensure expenses are properly stated and in the correct period
  • Review accounting on all invoices and advise sourcing department on proper GAAP application
  • Analyze and post travel & entertainment expense reimbursements
  • Complete month end closing tasks adhering to strict time schedule
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of multiple general ledger accounts
  • Monitor cash balances to ensure proper funding for daily expenditure activity
  • Record fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation
