The Staff Accountant position is a full-time role working approximately 80 hours per two week pay period. This position is responsible for supporting the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions, including accounts payable, payroll processing, month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support. The Staff Accountant ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial data while working closely with internal departments and external auditors. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • ERP system experience (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Sage) preferred.
  • Audit and month-end close experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, coding, and payments.
  • Assist with payroll processing, reconciliations, and related journal entries.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Support audit requests and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
