Requirements

  • Proven adeptness at detail work and experience managing multiple priorities
  • High level of self-motivation with an ability to work independently
  • Track record of being diplomatic, patient, ready-to-learn, with a great sense of humor
  • Undergraduate degree preferred and/or relevant experience
  • Enthusiastic about accounting and finance in nonprofits and small to mid-sized firms
  • Experience with Excel, preferably experience building VLookups and Pivot Tables

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a service delivery team, provide routine accounting services to our clients. You will process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash disbursements, and cash receipts using QuickBooks or other accounting software packages
  • On a monthly basis, reconcile bank items, and job costs, maintain department and general ledger accounts, prepare and enter journal entries, maintain electronic/paper files and prepare draft financial and management reports
  • On an annual basis, assist with gathering data for budget processes, audit preparation, preparing 1099s and other tax filings, as well as other client-specific regulatory filings
  • On an ongoing basis, work with the client and Insource staff to regularly upgrade and improve operating procedures and regularly document the changes.
