About The Position

Join our team as a Staff Accountant where you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial integrity while developing your skills in a collaborative environment

Requirements

Experience 2-5 years of Accounting experience is required in a small to medium sized company
Associates Degree in Business or Accounting is REQUIRED however we will consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Familiarity with public accounting is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes is required.
Knowledge of financial concepts including accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial management is required.
Experience with ERP is required. Preferred Sage/Sage Intacct experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis and account analysis effectively
Proficiency with Google suite is required.
Proficiency with AI/Chat GPT & Internal Chat programs is required.
Previous experience in a traditional Accounts Payable supervisory role is required.
Familiarity with manufacturing/retail accounting is required
Fluency in English is required.

Nice To Haves

Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Sales Tax Returns
Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliation
Support accounts payable and purchasing processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking
Prepare financial reports and assist in financial report interpretation for management review
Process expense reports and train co-workers on completing this process.
