About The Position

Gymreapers is seeking a high-performing Staff Accountant to support the Controller in managing the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-growing, multi-channel business. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and disciplined reporting across inventory, payables, receivables, and general ledger activity. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-accountability environment, demonstrates exceptional organizational and analytical skills, and takes ownership from transaction processing through financial reporting. This position requires precision, urgency, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (inventory or ecommerce experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP fundamentals
  • Experience with ERP systems and expense management platforms
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the full accounting cycle, from transaction entry through general ledger reporting.
  • Manage Accounts Payable, ensuring timely, accurate processing and vendor reconciliation.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory activity; prepare monthly COGS journal entries.
  • Reconcile monthly credit card and bank accounts, ensuring clean and accurate records.
  • Manage expense reporting software and ensure accurate entry into the ERP system.
  • Assist with monthly sales tax reconciliation and reporting.
  • Prepare weekly payment summaries and support cash flow visibility.
  • Assist with W-9 collection and 1099 year-end preparation.
  • Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective action.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial information.
  • Support the Controller with ad hoc financial analysis and operational projects as needed.
