About The Position

Brayman Construction Corporation in Saxonburg, PA is looking to hire a full-time Staff Accountant to perform critical daily and monthly accounting duties. We are looking for an ambitious Staff Accountant to perform a variety of daily and monthly accounting duties. You will join our Accounting Team and assist with the initial recording of transactions; maintenance of financial records; periodic financial analysis and reporting; preparation of income tax computations; and other projects for a diverse group of companies. The schedule for this position is typically Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Some flexibility is required as times will sometimes vary to meet company needs. Requirements

  • Strong Excel and accounting software skills
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of employee and company information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • BS/BA in accounting
  • 2-4 years relevant accounting experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Responsible for preparing journal entry packages and recording them in Viewpoint
  • Participate in the month-end close process to ensure items are completed timely and accurately
  • Assist with analytical procedures to evaluate financial results
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements for internal reporting and external reports when necessary
  • Prepare debt journal entry packages for multiple debt arrangements
  • Prepare ASC842 journal entry packages for multiple entities
  • Perform cash applications and bank reconciliations for all non-ZBA entities/accounts
  • Assist with cash application for entities in the ZBA
  • Assist with audits by providing financial information necessary to complete year end audits
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned
